WALK YOUR BLOCK

Discovering the Story of Your Neighborhood

6 Walks for Reading the Story of Your Place

Like fish swimming in water, it is easy to be blind to (and bored with) the neighborhood habitat that influences our daily lives. We need keen eyes to look afresh on what appears mundane because the truth is: the design of our cities and our neighborhoods shape our stories.

The built environment is not neutral. Our physical places affect the welfare of people and the development of healthy and meaningful relationships with neighbors and strangers. How do we tap into the stories that are told by the streets, the places, and the people that make where we live?

Walk Your Block is a series of walks that challenge you to observe and consider your neighborhood story through a lens of faith and storytelling.
